Dr S J Hussain, is a post graduate of Aligarh Muslim University. He has been associated in Research and Development of Unani Medicine since 1972, retired as Director from Central Research Institute of Unani Medicine in Hyderabad (Govt. of India) in 2005 and since then associated with Unani Centre for Cardiac Care, treating and caring thousands of patients.

Back in 70’s, when few cases of coronary artery diseases prevailed in India, Dr. Hussain, with sheer intention of serving the affected patients, started research and development of medication in line with Unani System of Medicine. He had carried intense pharmacological experiments of his research on animals (rats, cats, dogs, rabbits etc..), making him the one and only researcher (under unani system) in India who had miraculously accomplished the trials on animals. 

His experience in the specialization is second to none and has many publications in renowned national and international journals (100 +). He has authored/compiled 4 books/monographs. Dr. Hussain is also currently serving as Director in Chief of Al Arif General Hospital & Unani Research Institute (100+ beds hospital) and has received several Distinguished Service Awards from Govt. and Non-Govt. entities for his role in patient and physician advocacy.
